Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Album: Collaborations with Country Legends and More Revealed

Beyoncé has dropped her highly anticipated eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter, and it’s a star-studded affair featuring collaborations with some of the biggest names in country music and beyond.

Titled Act II from her Renaissance release, Cowboy Carter boasts 27 tracks that showcase Beyoncé’s versatility as an artist. Despite the album’s country-inspired title, Beyoncé made it clear to her fans that this is unmistakably a “Beyoncé album.”

However, the project does feature some notable country legends, including Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson. Nelson, at the age of 90, lends his iconic voice to tracks like “Smoke Hour Willie Nelson” and “Smoke Hour II.” Parton, who had previously expressed her admiration for Beyoncé, joins forces with the superstar on the track “Dolly P.”

But the country collaborations don’t stop there. Linda Martell, the trailblazing artist who made history as the first Black female solo artist to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, is featured on an interlude introducing the song “Ya Ya.”

In addition to the country legends, Beyoncé also teams up with contemporary artists like Miley Cyrus and Post Malone. Cyrus joins Beyoncé for the track “II Most Wanted,” while Malone collaborates with her on “Levii’s Jeans.”

The album also features rising stars in the country genre, such as Shaboozey, Rhiannon Giddens, Tanner Adell, and Willie Jones, among others. These artists bring their unique blend of hip-hop and country to tracks like “Spaghetti” and “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

Beyoncé teased the tracklist via social media, showcasing all 27 songs and hinting at the diverse range of styles and sounds present on the album. The release comes after Beyoncé’s starring role in a Verizon wireless commercial during the 2024 Super Bowl, where she first revealed her new project.

With tracks like “American Requiem,” “Blackbird,” and “Just For Fun,” Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album promises to be a captivating musical journey that showcases her artistry and collaborative spirit.
