In the first performance of the night, Lopez captivated the audience with a rendition of her new track, “Can’t Get Enough,” accompanied by Latto and REDMAN. Dressed in a modernized suit, featuring a cropped black jacket, stylish cut-out detailing on black pants, and a cropped white shirt, JLo exuded pop superstar vibes. However, her professionalism took center stage when a hair-related wardrobe mishap occurred mid-performance. Social media buzzed with admiration for Lopez as she seamlessly removed a loose hair extension, tossing it aside without missing a beat.

Fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) lauded her resilience, with comments like “What a performer, shake it off and keep on!” and “The show must go on. JLO ate up that performance.”

Later in the show, Lopez took the stage in an off-the-shoulder floral floor-length gown, the title track from her upcoming album. The light pink statement dress featured a thigh-high slit, complemented by a sleek up-do hairstyle, wedding jewelry, and a bedazzled microphone.

This appearance marked Lopez’s first on SNL since hosting in 2019, where she has previously done double-duty as both host and performer twice.

In anticipation of the Saturday night performance, Lopez teased her appearance on Instagram with stylish promo images. The singer donned a light gray blazer over a bright yellow skirt, a white turtleneck blouse, a gold statement belt, and bright blue heels, setting the tone for her fashionable return to SNL.

As Lopez gears up for the release of ‘This Is Me… Now’ on Feb. 16, the album promises to be a significant milestone in her career. It serves as a sequel to her 2002 album ‘This Is Me… Then,’ inspired by her relationship with Ben Affleck. Lopez emphasizes her growth by being more involved in the production and songwriting of the 13 tracks, including a follow-up to her 2002 love song “Dear Ben,” titled “Dear Ben Pt. II.”

In a YouTube Live session ahead of the release, Lopez shared her vision for the album, expressing that it’s about the existence of true love. The lead single, “Can’t Get Enough,” released on Jan. 10, sets the tone for the album’s theme.

Adding to the excitement, Lopez will premiere a Prime Video feature film titled ‘This Is Me… Now: A Love Story’ on the album’s release day. The film promises a musical and visual reimagining of her publicly scrutinized love life, including her relationship with husband Ben Affleck. Alongside Lopez, the film will feature appearances by Trevor Noah, Post Malone, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, Affleck, and more.

As the buzz surrounding Jennifer Lopez’s SNL comeback continues, fans eagerly anticipate the release of ‘This Is Me… Now’ and the accompanying feature film, promising a captivating journey through the singer’s love story. Catch Saturday Night Live airing on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
