According to Big Finish Productions, Salem later moved to Los Angeles in the 1990s, and eventually settled in Miami. Her career continued to flourish with guest-starring roles in popular series such as E.R., The West Wing, and Party of Five. She also left a lasting impression in the acclaimed 1998 drama Gods & Monsters, alongside Ian McKellen, Lyn Redgrave, and Brendan Fraser.

In a testament to her versatility, Salem not only graced the big screen but also produced radio and theater productions with her late husband, actor Michael O’Hagan.

In the later part of her illustrious career, Salem became a beloved collaborator with Big Finish, working on several audio series and reprising her Doctor Who character of Professor Rachel Jensen in Counter-Measures.

David Richardson, her producer at Big Finish, fondly remembers Salem: “Pamela Salem was lovely, and we all loved her. She was a very gentle person – always interested in everyone, from her co-stars to the production team to the guest actors and visitors.”
